This sweet girl ended up in a shelter last July. We adopted her 3 months ago, from a family in Phoenix, that had not been accostummed to dog ownership. She was chipped by her owner before them with the name Sandusky. It is unknown how long she was at the shelter, but she appears to be comfortable in a kennel. She is house trained, knows the sit command, and we are working on paw and leave it. She is almost out of her terrible twos and has shown such great improvement since we brought her home.
We regret to have to rehome her because she is so sweet, social, great with my daughter, and great with other dogs. She is simply not compatible with our chickens and cat. I have been working with her and she is great and under voice command when I am around. She no longer jumps on the furniture and rarely begs.
She is very active and loves bike rides, hikes, jaunts at the dog park, and walks around the neighborhood. She is very snuggly and really wants to crawl in bed and on the couch with you (which we do not allow). She isn't food aggressive and acts almost cat like. She turns down rawhides and pig's ears but will eat an apple slice and carrots. She only barks occasionally but she whines when she is excited or upset. We are really bummed to let this sweet girl go.
