Previously feral/outdoor cat, taken in & neutered. Toad lived outdoors without an owner for somewhere around half of a year, and with his current owners for ~7 months. We've decided to attempt to rehome him because he has behavior issues around food (attempting to eat any food left out/currently held by a human, consistently begging for food, getting hostile with other cats during feeding time, etc.), and he has been unfriendly with our current cat. He hasn't injured other animals in the home but fights between the cats tend to escalate past play-fighting unless an owner intervenes. We took in Toad and expected to be able to meet his needs but with both of us working nearly full-time and another cat to already take care of we have made the tough decision to re-home him somewhere that he can get his owner's full attention. Toad would most likely be happiest in a home with attentive/present owners, without small children, and without other cats/pets. He may be less reactive on a free-feeding diet and with more enrichment/play than we are able to provide.
