My sweet cinnamon roll, Max is a 10 year old husky-pit mix who is very athletic and loves to run. He's a great traveler/loves car rides, housebroken and fixed, has never met another adult he doesn't love and has been buddies with our other dog for the last 7 years. He is a cuddle bug and loves to sleep at the foot of our bed but will sleep on the floor when told to do so. He knows sit, lay down, and if on carpet he'll roll over. He also goes into his kennel when told.

I've had him since he was 8 weeks old and never had any problems until we started havings kids. He loved them when they were babies/crawlers but now that they are toddlers they cause him a great deal of anxiety. We have 3 under 4 years and two of them also have autism so they have chaotic energy and zero sense of personal space. We are constantly redirecting them and offering him his own space but he won't stay away and prefers to be with the family. We've tried a trainer and medication but nothing has helped and he's started to growl at the kids when they get too close so I'm concerned.

He has NEVER bitten anyone but he has gone after our other dog when his anxiety peaks. Thankfully our other dog is bigger than him so any broken skin has been very minor and they go back to best friends immediately after being separated.

He is the sweetest boy when the kids aren't home so I'm hoping to find him a place he'll be happier in with no young children. Possibly no other dogs but I don't think he would have any trouble once he's no longer stressed out by kids as he never started a fight until we had them. He is also great with cats and has never had a problem with them.

I'm hoping to avoid a shelter as he's a spoiled couch potato and probably wouldn't do well in a facility. He is kennel trained and is used to being in one for a few hours at a time when I'm running errands. He would come with a large bag of food, his anxiety toys, and treats.

Please let me know if he would be a good fit for your home 💗 I want my sweet boy to be happy
