He is a lover, loves to hug and snuggle and would love someone who has a large yard, is very active, or lives on a farm would be a great match.
He has not been around cats to my knowledge. He seems to like kids, and always wags his tail when we walk past them and wants to go over to them. He does jump, so will need training on that.
Kennel trained, but will need some training. Cannot be left to roam free.
He plays rough, but can and does play with my 5 lb male chihuahua really well with some reminders every so often to be gentle.
My 4 yo heeler is not a big wrestler or like to be rough, so she gets pretty annoyed with him.
He has not shown any signs of food or toy aggression since he has been around my dogs.
My chihuahua guards his food, and will snap at him, and he listens and backs away. When he is in his kennel eating and either dog approaches his kennel, he does not mind.
Have not been able to get booties on him due to him being so squirmy.
Not fully potty trained, but does not mess his kennel and if taken outside, he is fine. He did mark a ton when I first got him, so he has alway worn a diaper when inside just in case. He has gotten noticeably better with it in the last weeks, and seems to understand that that is not okay. He will go sit or lay by the door when he wants to go out.
Has learned to play and love balls and stuffed animals since being around my 2. Lots of indoor fetch with the temps below 0.
He is from the streets of Texas. I took him on as my friend already had a foster, 3 dogs, and 3 cats.
