Wednesday or Winnie as we call her was born in July of 2022 in Florida. Not much is known about her early beginnings. I was told she came to the Florida shelter with one littermate that did not make it.
She came to Seattle Humane through the Lifesaver Rescue program after one of the horrific Florida hurricanes when they were trying to clear out their shelters to make room for potential hurricane victims. She was only a couple of months old and barely 2 pounds when she made the flight across the country all by herself in a noisy plane, full of animals that made several stops before their last stop in Seattle.
I immediately fell in love with this little black and white ball of fluff and adopted her as soon as she had been cleared at Seattle Humane.
I have finally faced the painful fact that it would be in her best interest to re-home her. She is not happy in my home. I have 4 other cats and one of them is an 18 pound bully who loves to stalk Winne. I have tried everything to make it work, but it just not and I can’t in good conscience keep Winnie any longer. It is just not fair to her.
Winnie is a shy 6+ pound little girl. She doesn’t like to be picked up at all. However she does love her pets and will come and sit on me when she is not chased away.
I really believe that she would do best in a quiet adult home. She might be ok with an older dog who ignores cats. She has lived with 2 dogs here and not had a problem with them. I am sure she would enjoy being an only cat.
With the Home-to-Home platform, Seattle Humane connects people looking to rehome their pets with interested adopters.
