Biography

Phife is a 7 year-old pit bull mix (I think he's mixed with Boxer, but not entirely sure) that I adopted from the shelter when he was about 1 year-old. He weighs about 75 pounds. He loves to go on walks, chew on his chew toys, and snuggle with whoever is sitting on a couch or in a bed (but he knows to stay off furniture unless invited). He is very quiet and not a barker, more of a groaner and sigher. He is not a destroyer of things and will keep his chewing to his toys. He is very affectionate with people and friendly to strangers. He is not jealous over his food or his toys and is curious and playful with other dogs. However, he has a strong prey instinct and cannot live with cats and really wants to chase squirrels. He plays well and could live with other dogs (1 or 2 medium/large friendly and playful dogs), but gets anxious and overwhelmed in large groups of dogs in settings such as dog parks or daycare. He mostly likes to lounge around all day with short bursts of activity like playing or walking. He loves car rides. He is afraid of fireworks and loud noises.

He is house-trained and currently has a doggie door that gives him access to my backyard. He is also crate trained and spends time (up to multiple hours) in his crate without any issues when I am not home.

His skin can be sensitive and he's had some environmental allergic reactions in the past, particularly in the summertime, but these can be easily prevented with baths every 2 weeks with a medicated shampoo. He hasn't had any allergic reactions in the 3 years since we started with the shampoo. He does not have any chronic conditions that require regular visits to the vet and does not have any food allergies.

I recently got engaged and am planning to move in with my fiancé (yay!). Unfortunately, she owns a small Yorkie and our dogs don't get along despite our efforts. We decided that the best thing for Phife would be a new home.

Phife will come with the following:
- Stainless steel food and water bowls, plus a large bag of food
- Large bed
- Crate measuring 25" wide x 34" tall x 37" long with two crate pads
- Collar, walking collar, and 2 leashes
- Various toys
- Raincoat
- Full medical records from vet visits
- Medicated shampoo
- Updated vaccines

Phifey is a great companion and house pet. He would love to meet you and show you what a great guy he is. Give us a call or text so you can meet your new best friend!
