Biography

What can I say about Scout, other than he is a good boy all around. He’s an extremely loyal and loving, 1 and a half year old fixed male Pitbull/American Bully mix breed dog. He would make a wonderful companion for any single person or couple! He is very active and needs to be with an owner who is experienced in a hyper and extremely playful dogs. He is capable of being trained, and a well behaved boy. He takes time to get to know people. He has grown up from a young puppy, in a house with cats and small children, but I suggest he goes to a home with older children, and no small animals. He has become food aggressive to our other animals, and even nipped my young child on the hand, without drawing blood, for taking a new kind of bone we gave him as a treat. He is unpredictable and really needs to be with a family that is experienced in dog training and who can give him lots of exercise, love and attention! He has a harness and a leash, collar, and a cage that would come with him. He is house trained, and crate trained. He has basic manners on a leash, but pulls hard because he doesn’t get enough exercise right now, due to my back injury. He would thrive in a household that has a fenced in back yard, maybe a farm to run around, or a very active couple who are looking for a loving companion to accompany you on hiking adventures! He loves bigger dogs, but can become very playful and sometimes has a tendency to play too rough. He would really make anyone a wonderful pet and new addition to any family! I can no longer maintain such an active dog and just wish to give him a home with someone who knows more about dog training.
