New Update ***
These sweet babes need a loving home now. They lost their owner, my brother, to cancer early last week.
Both Phantom and Ghost had a great visit to the vet on Feb 15 in Aiken, SC. They did well in the car, on leashes, and being in the vet's office. They are in good health, heartworm negative, current on vaccines, and just need some extra loving on! Ghost is more like 4 years old, happy and energetic. It is likely she is not spayed. Phantom is still energetic, though a bit softer, and wants to love on you a lot. We are willing to transport them outside of the Aiken, SC/southeast area. We just want them to have a nice home. Please help spread the word and be in touch with any questions, or suggestions for broadening my reach. We really need to find them a home as soon as possible. Thank you so much 🙏

The pictures here are updated, as we have gotten to know a little more about them. They are very loving of humans. We are still unsure how they are around children, and have heard they did not do as well with other dogs apart from each other. They take commands of sitting and staying quite well, and respond great to treats of tuna and chicken. Keeping them together is important, and very beneficial to their overall health and well-being.
My brother rescued them years ago when they were younger and gave them a lot of his love. They have been living alone outside (with a doghouse). My parents have been doing what they can to provide food and water during this difficult time, but cannot sustain this and are unable to provide them the long-term love and attention they need, want, and deserve as precious beings.
My brother shared with me how much he loves his “pups” about a week before he passed. I told him I was going to make sure they would be well-cared for, which seemed to soothe his mind a lot. So this post is in great hopes to honor that moment with him and find these sweethearts a beautiful, forever (or foster) home where they will be cherished for as long as they live.
The gray dog is Phantom, a male American bulldog mix, fixed, who is about 11 years old. The white dog is Ghost, a female, and from what I can tell is a mix breed maybe about 6-7 years old. I am unsure yet if she has been fixed. They both love humans, and have taken quickly to strangers. They have been around children only on occasion, and I’m not sure how they are with other dogs/animals but they are great with each other. As you can see, they are skinny and in need of medical attention. They have not been to a vet in years from what we can determine. We are able to get them to a vet later this week for initial checks and getting them up-to-date on vaccines. Beyond that, our need now is that they receive a new home very soon after their vet appointment, one where they can be together in a home filled with love and care for their needs as sweet companions.
