Forrest is absolutely amazing. We adopted him from a local shelter in July 2023 and he's quickly stolen our hearts -- sweet, kind, super snuggly and a total goof ball.
All he wants is human affection and love. If you want a dog that will snuggle up with you in bed, on the couch, or even in the middle of the living room floor, he's your guy! He also loves to play fetch, go for runs (not too long!) and walks.
He's well trained (Sit, stay, go to place, leave it, shake, come/heel, great walker), house trained, crate trained.
Unfortunately, as we've gotten to know Forrest we've discovered he is "dog selective" (likes some dogs, doesn't like others) and that he and our existing (older and smaller) residential dog don't see eye to eye.
We are absolutley devastated, but for the safety of our older dog we are making the tough choice to seek out a single-dog household for Forrest, ideally with someone who has experience with Rottweiler/Pitty breeds and understands his needs/structure.
It could not be harder for us to even consider him leaving our household but we are trying our best to do what is right for him. He deserves a loving home where he does not need to be separated/worry about other dogs and can enjoy lots of human love.
We are willing to foster Forrest ourselves until he finds his forever home!
