Davy is a stray that my daughter rescued as a puppy. He was found with a brother and my daughters boss, who owns a farm, kept the brother and my daughter took Davy She took him to the vet to check for a microchip but he didn’t have one.. So instead of taking him to the pound, she decided to keep him. My daughter is 17 and took care of all of his vaccines and any medical issues (worms and fleas) that he had in the beginning and he is healthy now. He is about eight months old and the vet said he is a shepherd/hound mix. He’s a very sweet dog. He likes to obey but his issue is he escapes our yard. We have a 6 foot chain-link fence on a very sloppy backyard with rough terrain, and he finds all the soft spots in the fence and nothing we can do keeps him in. he hast to stay in his kennel we live on a road that cars fly down and we are afraid he’s going to get hit. We have two other dogs and we have little kids, our youngest is five, and he is good with people and he is good with other dogs. He does need to be fed separately , the issue is he escapes we have exhausted our options at keeping him in and we can’t afford a new fence which I imagine would solve the problem.
My daughter works and is in school and we just cannot contain him and we don’t want to take him to the pound because he’s too sweet of a dog but we can’t keep him any longer for his safety.
