Missy is a super-sweet pit bull looking for a new home! She LOVES people. Her favorite things are cuddling with her family, getting all the scratches, and roadtrips. She will be your velcro dog. Anywhere you go, she will want to go, too. She is very smart and wants to please you.
Missy is crate trained and mostly potty trained. She likes to take her time on potty trips and might have an accident if not given adequate time outside. She tends to pull hard on the leash and is reactive to other animals. She will need someone who can work with her on proper leash manners and recall.
While Missy has lived with a dog in the past, she has lunged at and/or pinned other dogs we've tried to introduce her to. She bit one dog on the face, resulting in broken skin. For this reason, Missy needs to be an only pet in her next home. We think she would be happiest this way. A fenced yard is encouraged so that she can be out and about without running into other animals, but it's not required.
Background: my dad's rental tenant moved out and left Missy with him. Unfortunately, he does not have the time or space for a dog. We have spoken to her previous owner, but she is not interested in taking Missy back for financial reasons. Missy has lived in some unstable homes. We don't think she's really had a chance to feel secure anywhere. While she's perfectly fine being left alone in the car, she might cry if left home alone. However, with some love, routine, and a calm attitude, she will be a wonderful dog for someone.
Missy Moose is located in Grays Harbor. She was born in May 2021 and is 50 pounds. We're not sure if she's spayed. We were told she is, but we haven't found a spay scar or tattoo.
