Louie is an extremely special boy and he deserves the absolute world. He lives for cuddles and would like nothing more than somebody to watch movies with and go for walks.
The fact I even have to rehome him makes me sick to my stomach, he is my best friend.
Louie is a rescue who was found abandoned and left to die in a cage. He was my foster dog in college and I foster failed, and it was him and I against the world.
Because of that, he has severe separation anxiety to the point that he howls extremely loudly every time we leave. I’ve tried everything in the world to get him to stop and it doesn’t work.
It is to the point where he goes to Animal Behavior Wellness Center and is on medications three times a day to try and help. He still howls.
I live in an apartment and my neighbors complained to the point they threatened to sue and evict me if I keep him here. I can’t afford to buy a house in this economy and I need this boy to get the happy ending he deserves.
He has been in permanent boarding since October while I was desperately trying to get a home that would accommodate him but I have tried everything and I can't afford it.
I can't afford to keep him in boarding much longer and I need to get this good boy a home.
He is not good with dogs but he is fine with dog-savvy cats given proper introduction. I am unsure how he is around kids. I think he would be fine with older kids, but I am not sure.
He really needs an experienced adopter willing to give him the time and patience.
Other than his SA, he is in absolutely perfect health.
