Izzy is a super smart and energetic toy poodle that has been a loved member of our family for 3+ years, since she was a puppy. Unfortunately Izzy struggles with resource guarding (including guarding the people she loves) that we have not been successful at correcting despite working with multiple trainers and our vet. After years of working with Izzy, we’ve come to the very sad realization that she would be much happier in a home with just one person (and potentially another small dog), and no children. We would love to still be involved in Izzy’s life as we are all very attached to this tiny (6lb!) creature and are happy to watch her when needed. She is a very sweet and well behaved dog when she’s with just one person - she doesn’t chew, doesn’t require a ton of exercise, etc. She is fully potty trained and knows all basic commands (sit, stay, shake, rollover, come, etc). We’d prefer to do a trial run in Izzy’s new home to ensure it’s the right fit for her and her next owner.
