Biography

Howie is ~7 years old, and he’s basically a puppy trapped in a cat’s body. He’s the most affectionate, loving cat you will ever meet. As long as a kind human is in sight, he will not stop purring. His charming, goofy personality is absolutely irresistible and is guaranteed to keep a smile on your face.

I found Howie on the streets of San Francisco in November 2017 and he immediately stole my heart. He also quickly took to my other cats, always eager to make friends (of any species!) wherever he can find them. Howie is FIV+ but has been perfectly healthy and safely co-existing with FIV- cats without issue for the past 7 years.

Howie is a special soul, and has been an absolute blessing in my life. I’m heartbroken that I’m not able to provide him the kind of home he deserves, but a major shift in my financial situation, upcoming move across the country, and partner who is allergic to cats has simply made it unfeasible for me to be the best parent I can be. He deserves a home with a heart as big as his (if that’s possible!), and my dream is to find him a special parent with that same overflowing, unconditional love he so eagerly gives to everyone he meets.
