Gareth is a big, gorgeous, sassy lady, with tons of personality. She is a Siberian mix, and so is relatively low-shedding and hypoallergenic. She can take a long time to warm up to people, but when she does she can be a real lover. Very food-motivated, and loves to sit at the window watching birds, chase little spring toys, and sleep.
I am sad to have to rehome her, but I recently moved in with my partner and her beloved cat, and we've tried hard to make it work but Gareth and the other cat simply don't get along.
Gareth is healthy, but was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Disease in January 2023, so she requires a hydrolyzed diet and daily medication, administered easily in her wet food. The medication is $16/month and the wet and dry food add up to $170 every 4 months or so. She'll be 6 years old in March.
She does not get along well with other cats, but has had a good experience living with a dog for several years.
