Cooper is the ultimate cuddle buddy who loves to snuggle up under a blanket and be pet by anyone who has hands! He also loves to go on hikes and even can jog along side you!
In 2019, I rescued him in Virginia and unfortunately he had a rough past that made him fearful of some larger dogs and loud noises.
He would thrive in a single animal home and is very good with pretty much any human (infant to elderly) as long as they will pet him.
Cooper has been professionally trained at a board and train 2 month program to address his issues with fear based reactivity. Overall he has done much better, but he would not be well suited at a dog park with other random dogs.
Cooper is also potty and crate trained and knows basic sit/wait/come commands. He is very food motivated and has never shown destructive behaviors in the home.
My other dog recently started having seizures and it has gotten too much for me to adequately care for both dogs as a single person who works full time.
I want both of my dogs to have the life they deserve and under recent circumstances I feel I'm falling short for both pups so after a lot of thought I made the difficult decision to give Cooper a better life than I can currently provide for him.
