Biography

Meet Adoptable, Adorable, Shy-turned-Cuddly Lab Mix, Roux!
We've lovingly named her "Roux" because, just like the flavorful sauce, she adds a special touch to your life and leaves a lasting impression.
**Age:** 2 years old
**Weight:** 42 pounds
**Breed:** Lab Mix (with a dash of sweetness and a dollop of charm!)
**Preferred Home:**Roux is looking for a patient and loving forever home where she can feel safe and secure. She may initially be a little shy and nervous, but with time and understanding, she'll blossom into the most affectionate and cuddly companion.
**Temperament:**Once Roux feels comfortable, she is an absolute sweetheart. She'll show you a side of her that's full of love and cuddles. She might take a few days to warm up to new people and surroundings, but when she does, you'll have a loyal and devoted friend for life.
**Playfulness:**While Roux may be a bit reserved initially, she still enjoys playtime. Gentle games and interactive toys will help her build confidence and bond with her new family. Her playful nature will gradually shine through as she becomes more at ease.
**Training:**Roux is a smart and eager-to-please dog. With positive reinforcement training and patience, she'll quickly learn new things and become a well-behaved companion. Consistency and gentle encouragement will be key to her training success.
**Health:**Roux is in great health, and she's up-to-date on all her vaccinations and regular check-ups.
**Children and Other Pets:**Roux would do best in a home with children who are 10 years and older. Younger children's high energy and sudden movements might overwhelm her. However, with older kids who understand her need for space and gentleness, Roux will form strong bonds and enjoy their companionship. As she prefers to be the only pet, she can bask in all the attention and love she deserves.
**Note to Potential Adopters:**Roux is a gentle soul who deserves a chance to experience the love and care of a forever family. If you have a loving and patient family, ready to offer Roux the understanding she needs to thrive, she could be the perfect match! Please reach out to us with any questions or to set up a meet and greet. We want to ensure that she finds a loving forever home where she can feel safe, cherished, and appreciated for her unique personality. The rewards of earning Roux's trust are immeasurable as she'll become your most affectionate and cuddly companion.Check her out in this adorable video & also learn more about her backstory: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sD8b_vcHqDA
