Leila is a 6 years old, spayed female german shepherd mix who is about 40 lbs.

Leila is very loving and cuddly, she is attuned to her human's emotions and is quite comfortable snuggling on the sofa all day if that’s what you’re doing. The cutest thing she does is pitter patter following you around the house patiently waiting for you to pet her or talk to her.

She has spent many hours in training and is very treat motivated. Leila knows the command of place, sit, stay, jump, down, in between (to walk in between your legs) shake, spin, come. She is crate, e collar, and muzzle trained. She loves being a good girl and tried really hard to do all of her tricks for treats.

Leila is a kangaroo in that she will jump a lot and can jump very high! She loves to run and does have a very high prey drive.

She doesn't play much but will initiate tug with you and very much enjoys any stuffed toy that looks like a small animal - squirrels, birds, etc.

While on walks, Leila needs a strong and confident handler as she does struggle with anxiety and other dogs are a trigger for Leila.

Leila is up to date on all her shots and has had a recent dental cleaning. She does have incontinence for which she takes medication daily, as well as trazadone before going to the vet and in known stressful situations.

She would be most successful in a single dog household, with a large lot of land she can explore and run around. She would do great with a household that works from home that can spend lots of time playing with her and giving her love.
