Mellie is an incredibly smart and sweet purebred Border Collie who wants nothing more than to please her owners and chase butterflies in the yard. We adopted her at 8 weeks and she has been through a formal board and train program. Mellie would do best in a household without other dogs but did get along well with our cat. We are unable to keep Mellie because she is very nervous around and has nipped at our toddler. For this reason, she should be in a home without small children. She is also a herding dog so nipping is in her nature and she can be uncomfortable around strangers (especially if they are in her face). The breeder who we originally got Mellie from has taken her back to her farm in Clinton, OH and is helping us search for her perfect forever home. Having to give Mellie up has been devastating and we would be happy to provide any information/photos needed (and would love to stay in touch if you are open to it!!) She is up-to-date on all medical care.
