Jax and Skye are a bonded pair. I adopted them from The Humane Society - Tacoma and Pierce county about 3 years ago (when they were bout 1 1/2 years old). Unfortunately, my job has changed from working at home full-time to requiring travel 4-5 months out of the year.
They are mixed breed. Skye looks like she has lab and Akita mixed in. And Jax (the black dog) has some lab and wire-haired pointer.
I've put them through some intensive training where they learned various obedience commands (sit, down, wait, etc.) but are still working on off, come/here, and walking nicely on a leash. Also, they are still learning how to get along with other dogs. They love to chase each other and wrestle. Also, they are house-broken and crate-trained. They are up-to-date on all vaccines and don't have any other medical issues.
Due to their high-energy levels, a home without small children would be best.
