Loki is a 4 year old 70 lb. Pittie/Lab mix. I got him from a shelter 3 years ago in Boise, ID via Stockton, CA. I got him when he was 8 months old and immediately noticed he was very reactive to most dogs when out for walks. Although he still struggles on walks, he has since improved with meeting other dogs in a controlled environment but needs a slow, safe introduction. Most of the time he is very sweet (and hilarious) but over the past couple of years, he has regressed and shown sudden, unprovoked snapping/biting towards both strangers and family he knows. He is muzzle and crate trained, is obedient to many commands, is up to date on all his shots, and is house broken. He has been to the vet, who has done a complete panel on him and generally ruled out any pain causative or other medical condition. He has worked with several trainers and been to special training centers to address his receptiveness to other dogs and has responded well. He lived with a small daschund for about a year and they got along great. He has not been around cats much since I am allergic, but the times he has, he has not shown reactivity towards them. He has moments of sweetness, but can trigger without warning. I have roommates and his regression has just made for a difficult situation and I am at the point that his behaviors are beyond what I am able to help him with. Looking for a good home somewhere in the Pacific NW. May be able to help with his transport.
