Two inseparable dogs, Rufus (80lbs, male) and Penny (65lbs, female), need a loving home together. Rescued at 16 weeks, they are now 1 year old, up to date on shots, microchipped, crate trained and spayed/neutered.
These happy and energetic pups are great with kids, currently living with a 3 and 7-year-old. Shy initially to new people, they warm up and become affectionate and snuggly. While they currently live with a cat, they may chase if the cat runs and attempt to play with the cat like a dog. They also take naps with the cat. They also live with a hamster and there have been no issues with that.
The duo loves to run and requires a spacious well fenced yard for play and activities. Rufus loves chasing balls, while Penny prefers chasing her brother. They both also love going on leashed bike rides with me through the neighborhood. Off-leash, they explore but stay close on walks through the woods. With training, they could be excellent agility dogs.
While deeply loved, the pups need more exercise, training, and socialization than we can provide due to recently developed family health issues.
I am willing to facilitate a gradual transition to help the dogs adjust and to ease the goodbyes. If you have the time and space for these loving siblings, consider providing them with a forever home filled with training, socialization, care and attention they deserve.
