We got Kona when she was about 8 weeks old and she grew up with two other dogs in the home and a baby. We find her to be fairly well socialized around our children and other dogs.
Kona is exceptionally lovable and kind. She is highly food motivated and enjoys training with treats. Kona would gladly learn new tricks with you if you desired her to. She understands simple commands (sit, stay, come, place, shake, etc.). She is young and energetic and loves everything from snuggles to hikes and playing fetch.
We love Kona so much, she truly is part of the family. However, her special needs have become too much for our family and work lifestyle. Kona had TPLO surgery on both of her knees. She does walk funny/differently now - but doctor's and x-rays confirm that the knees have healed well. Unfortunately, some complications of the second surgery left her incontinent. My husband and I work full time, have a toddle and a new baby on the way. Our time to care for Kona and give her the attention she needs continues to shrink. We feel that finding her a new home with a higher ability to provide time, attention and care would be best for Kona.
Please, reach out. Kona is amazing, lovable, kind, warm-hearted and just high spirited! She deserves more than we can give her.
