Biography
I got Cass on the Fourth of July. I had actually gone there to meet his brother, and then Cass stared into my eyes, and I could not resist. The owner said that she was in a desperate situation and in an abusive relationship, and said that the two dogs were close friends, and wouldn’t want to be separated. I explain to her that I had three small dogs, and that I would have to see how they got along. That next day, Cass attacked one of the three dogs and I immediately contacted her to see if I could return him to her and not ask for the adoption fee back. That point she did not respond. I contacted a few groups on Facebook that were for rehoming, and the people in the groups ripped me to shreds despite the fact that one of the rules was no shaming. I never give up on dogs, so this is really hard for me because I believe that they are lifelong commitment. However, I made a lifelong commitment to my three dogs first. I read a few books on dog training and I watched Cesar Millan and other training shows and thought I could maybe help it get better but he has done this about four times now and I am worried that he will kill my tiniest dog.
I do not know how he is around children or cats or other small animals but I definitely think that he should be an only dog. He is very sweet and just wants to sit in your lap but he gets triggered and it’s not easy to refocus him.
He is neutered, was born on 3/28/2023, and his current on all of his shots. He is micro chipped. I currently feed him Purina one plus puppy formula dog food.
