Sawyer is a sweet boy, with a tough beginning in life. My parents adopted him from a kill shelter in Alabama when he was just a few weeks old. Unfortunately, soon after adopting him, my dad got sick and passed away in December 2022. My mom's health declined rapidly after and she passed in August 2023. Sawyer has been living with various family members and is now at a month-long board and train program in Manchester NJ. We wanted him to get the training he never got because of my parent' illness. He is working on his basic obedience skills like Sit, Stay, Recall, Drop it, and Leash Manners. His training program even includes 15 follow up lessons at the training facility in Manchester NJ to keep his skills sharp! It will also be great to use these to bond with Sawyer. When I watched Sawyer, he always loved to cuddle. He would curl up next to me in bed and on the couch. He would run all around the back yard and loved just sitting on the deck watching the birds. He also liked to watch the gold fish in my mom's pond. He likes to play ball, and is a good car rider too.
