Angie is a Flat-coat Retriever mix. I adopted her from the Maricopa County shelter about seven years ago. She had been at the shelter for a long time, but I saw the potential for an awesome companion. Once she got settled into our home, she became part of the family. She loves to play and get her belly scratched. She’s extremely smart and seems to know when I’m feeling down. She offers her head to pet and smiles. She loves to chew on bones. She does not like cats, and should be introduced slowly to other female dogs. I fully intend this to be a temporary foster situation, while I find a new place to live that will be comfortable for all in my family.

Sophie is a 6/7 year old flat coated retriever, 3 legged good girl, who doesn’t like kids under 10 (kids need to be dog savvy..she isn’t a “kids first dog” kinda girl) who likes respectful dogs and cats. She does well with my 11 year old brother.

I adopted Sophie at when she was about 2 or 3. She had a broken leg (cause unknown) that could not be fixed so we amputated. She is missing her back right leg but it doesn’t really slow her down too much as long as she gets her joint supplement. She is a lazy couch potato for the most part but definitely perks up at the word “walk”. She loves summertime and will lay lout all day if you’d let her. She loves swimming with her life jacket too! She went to work with me for about a year and does well with adults in public settings.

We are rehoming due to her not getting along with my 1 year old son. She deserves to be happy and comfortable in her own home. She deserves more than what I can do for her.

Her skin allergies are getting worse and the med we have her on is not working anymore. We unfortunately can’t afford more vet care for her right now and she does need to be seen.

Ranger is a 7-month old, Flat-Coated Retriever who is ready to enjoy the life he deserves.

Ranger has had an unfortunate start to life, found abandoned at 7 weeks old and separated from his mom at a very early age. Fast forward to being placed in a shelter has contributed to Ranger being on the shy and fearful side. This quirky boy needs a kind, patient human, preferably a home with other dogs, that is experienced with positive reinforcement training of anxious, insecure dogs to help him overcome his fears.

He is very playful, remarkably patient and loving with kids, learns tricks very quickly, and enjoys playing on the beach. He is potty trained, and leash trained, but would benefit from positive reinforcement leash training to help him with ignoring things he is fearful of.

He would do best with an active person with a large fenced yard to be able to run and enjoy life.
